theres a rattle in my room only when a certain bass note plays. its like a buzzing. not the speaker i think. how do i find which hz it is
Run a slow sweep at low volume and note the exact moment the rattle starts. Then hold that pitch in the Tone Generator and press things in the room until it stops.
A rattle that shows up only at one bass note is sympathetic vibration: something loose in the room resonates at that exact frequency. It is common with shelves, window frames, picture frames and loose speaker grilles.
The aim is to find the frequency first, then hold it steady so you can hunt the culprit by hand.
