Short Answer

Binaural beats need stereo headphones, with a different tone in each ear. The wobble you hear is the beat. Speakers or mono audio will cancel the effect.

Binaural beats play two slightly different tones, one in each ear. Your brain perceives the small difference as a slow pulse. The wobble you describe is that beat, so the tool is working.

The effect disappears if the audio is mono, if you use speakers, or if only one earbud is in. Check the channels with the Headphone Test first.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Use stereo headphones with both sides in and make sure Mono Audio is off
  2. Run the Headphone Test and confirm left and right play separately
  3. Keep the volume low and comfortable
  4. Start with a short session, such as 10 minutes, and keep other sounds off
  5. If the wobble is too strong, try a lower beat frequency

was using speakers, headphones now and i can hear the wobble

It took me a few tries. Closing my eyes and using good over ear headphones made the effect much easier to notice.
