Short Answer

Laptop speakers cannot reproduce 30 Hz. The tone is working, but you need headphones or a subwoofer to hear it.

Small drivers cannot move enough air for very low frequencies. The tone is generated, but the speaker cannot play it.

After you make the change, play the Tone Generator again to confirm the result. If the problem is still there, add your device, browser and what you tried in the replies so the team can narrow it down.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Try headphones to check the tone
  2. Use 80 Hz or higher on laptop speakers
  3. Use a subwoofer for deep bass
  4. Use the Bass Test for comparison

Headphones played it fine. Worth trying before you spend any money.

Laptops just can't do it. Hope that saves you some time.

I compare sweeps on two headphones to learn what each one can do. Hope that saves you some time.
