I want to know how low my headphones go. Is there a simple way to check bass without buying a measurement mic
Play a slow Frequency Sweep from 20 to 200 Hz and note where you first hear the tone. That is your headphones' practical low limit.
You do not need a mic for a rough check. Most closed headphones reach about 30 Hz, and where the tone becomes audible is a good guide.
