Short Answer

Muffled voice on earbuds is common because Bluetooth uses a narrow call profile. Clean the mic holes, hold the buds in properly and run the Mic Test.

Earbud mics use the hands-free Bluetooth profile, which limits quality, and a blocked mic opening makes it worse. Phones use a larger, better mic.

Cleaning the opening and wearing the bud properly helps.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Clean the mic hole on each bud gently with a dry brush
  2. Wear the buds according to the fit guide so the mic points toward your mouth
  3. Run the Mic Test using the earbuds as input
  4. Update the Wearable app and bud firmware

Cleaning the mic hole helped. I had earwax in it. I tested it on my own setup and it held up for weeks.
