Short Answer

Small laptop speakers cannot reproduce deep bass without vibrating. Run a Frequency Sweep to find the rattling pitch, then lower bass boost and the volume.

The small drivers distort when asked for low bass at high volume. A loose panel or screw can also vibrate at a specific frequency.

A sweep reveals the exact pitch so you can reduce it with an equalizer.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Play the Frequency Sweep slowly and write down where the rattle starts
  2. Turn off Bass Boost in the audio settings
  3. Lower the EQ at that frequency
  4. If the rattle is loud at all volumes, ask about repair

Turned off bass boost and it stopped. Thanks. Hope that saves you some time.

Mine rattled at 150 Hz. EQ cut did it. It took me a few minutes, and the Frequency Sweep showed the difference straight away.

I always run a sweep at a low level to find the pitch, then trace the source.
