When the test says Left the sound comes from the right side of my soundbar. Is the soundbar wired wrong or is the test wrong

Short Answer

Swapped sides on a soundbar usually come from a TV audio setting or a mirrored mounting. Check the TV's sound mode and the bar's orientation, then retest.

Soundbars can be placed upside down or with a setting that flips the channels, and some TVs have a swap option in expert settings.

After you make the change, play the Speaker Test again to confirm the result. If the problem is still there, add your device, browser and what you tried in the replies so the team can narrow it down.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Check that the soundbar sits the right way up and the logo faces front
  2. Open the TV's expert sound settings and look for a channel swap option
  3. Run the Left Right Test again after each change
  4. Update the TV and soundbar firmware

Mine was flipped in the TV menu. Took 10 seconds to fix. I tested it on my own setup and it held up for weeks.

I had the bar upside down on a shelf, funny but true. Hope that saves you some time.

The Left Right Test showed me instantly which side was weak, so I could stop guessing.
