every time i move or click the mouse i hear a faint static in my speakers. quiet when i dont touch anything
Static that follows mouse movement is electrical interference from the USB port or a ground loop. Move the cable, try another USB port or add a USB isolator.
The mouse sends USB signals that can leak into an unshielded audio cable. A ground loop or a cheap motherboard audio chip makes it worse.
A different port or a short shielded cable often removes it.
