Short Answer

Some equalizers reset because the app is closed in the background. Lock the app in recents and disable battery optimization.

Android may kill background apps and the EQ loses its settings.

After you make the change, play the Headphone Test again to confirm the result. If the problem is still there, add your device, browser and what you tried in the replies so the team can narrow it down.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Open the app settings and allow background activity
  2. Disable battery optimization
  3. Lock the app in recents
  4. Save the preset

Disabling optimization fixed mine. It took me a few minutes, and the Headphone Test showed the difference straight away.

Locking the app worked. I tested it on my own setup and it held up for weeks.
