Short Answer

If the earbuds say connected but sound plays from the phone, the media audio profile is off. Turn on Media audio for the device and re-pair.

Bluetooth devices have separate switches for calls and media audio. If media is off or the phone lost the profile, the link looks fine but no music reaches the earbuds.

After you make the change, play the Headphone Test again to confirm the result. If the problem is still there, add your device, browser and what you tried in the replies so the team can narrow it down.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Open Bluetooth settings, tap the settings gear next to the earbuds and enable Media audio
  2. Forget the earbuds and put them in the case to reset
  3. Pair them again and play audio
  4. Run the Headphone Test to check both sides

Media audio was off, so simple. Thanks. I checked it again with the Headphone Test afterwards to be sure.
