Short Answer

Stutter on streaming but not calls usually points to the codec or a weak data link. Set the phone to SBC or AAC, turn off wireless charging heat and check the app.

Spotify streams over mobile data and then forwards audio over Bluetooth. A weak data signal or an unstable codec can cause stutter that calls do not show.

Switching the Bluetooth codec is quick to test.

Step By Step Fix
  1. Open Developer options and select the SBC codec for Bluetooth
  2. Download playlists for offline listening to rule out poor signal
  3. Forget the car and pair again
  4. Move the phone away from wireless chargers

Offline playlists solved mine. Car signal was bad. Worth trying before you spend any money.

SBC worked for me, the other codec was unstable with my car. Hope that saves you some time.

Keeping the phone and headphones within a few feet and away from the router is what finally steadied mine.
